Timex lift off five different watch personalities all set for distinctive lifestyles! What Timex are you?

Timex Ironman Run Trainer 2.0
               (Silver /Green)

Me and my sisters grew up holding a racket on our hands and shoes on our feet. We just love playing tennis since then with our father as our coach and our mother as cheerer. With the active lifestyle that we have had, we found it difficult to choose the right watches that would fit into our wrist, stuck on our hands while running here and there to hit the ball. Since then, I cannot remember any watch that lasted on my wrist. Nonetheless, I just gave up wearing one until, I started earning on my own. I have worked in a fast pace manufacturing firm where I needed a  watch that would  keep track of my timely output, that would stay with me even in the most pressured and time running work that I had. Thus, It was the time when I discovered the wonders of Timex. My roommate who worked in the Timex manufacturing firm sold her Timex company gift to me. I had it with me for three years but my father wanted it too so I gave it to him. It is still up and running right now . Unbelievable! But, Yes...it's true- it's already five years old now. All he had to do was to change the battery to keep it going!

That's why I am very excited with the lift off of the Timex five different watch personalities all set for me and my family's distinctive lifestyle. What Timex am I?

I want my son to appreciate what his father is doing.

I want my son, to appreciate his father when he grows up. Even if his father is not around as often as he could to look after his growing but I want him to know that his father is sacrificing a part of his happiness-that is hoping to be with us all the time. But because his father wanted to give us a comfortable life and somehow he would have a better future, his father forgets a part of himself. That is why I love writing for my husband on behalf of my little one. So that when my son is at the right age to read and understand he would know that it is not easy to be an OFW even he seems to have a lot of money because  no money could equate what his father had sacrificed and that hoping in return he'll find his way to be a good and God fearing son ( God willing) when he grow up. Nonetheless he will truly love his father no matter what happen.

What to consider in chosing a name for your baby?

Baby's Name!
When I made the name for my son the following were the things that I took into considerations.

1. The meaning of the name - I believe that I should choose or make a name that has positive meaning. Because I believe that it will also help my child to have a positive outlook in life.
2. I want it to be unique.
3. I want to put some biblical name on it.
4. I want to remember that he was formed because of love.

This is how I created the name of my son:
1. I remember the memorable place that me and my husband conceived him.
2. I want him to have faith in Lord.
3. I also want him to endure and have courage no matter what life takes him into when he grows.
4. I want him to be successful.

Here is the name of my son : Siamfev Elijah

The meaning:
Siam- Ancient name of Thailand where I me and my husband had our honeymoon and a month             after our vacation there I noticed I was pregnant.
F-Faith
E-endurance
V-Victorious
Elijah -was  my first favorite and known prophet from a story told by my mother when I was a kid.

Always remember that our kids always hear their names.Hence, it is very important that it must have a positive meaning because names can also help them perceived who they are.

If you need assistance for your child's name you may leave a comment and I will do my very best to help you out.

Our bible sharing

Matthew 22:1-14!

My husband can't open the link I sent, so he got his bible and flip the on Verse Matthew 22:1-14. Me: Now please read the verse.
Husband: No, you read. Me: Then, I read.
Me:How do you understand about the verse?
Husband:It's about the judgement day, (re-iterating " Many are called but few are chosen.".
Me: Wow,very smart. We have the same idea. Then, what else?
Husband: Hmmm.. that's all.
Me: Ok, When I was reflecting it lately this morning. It says in verse 1-2 That the heaven is like a         wedding feast that is being prepared by the king. So as I imagine it.Heaven has a lot of food            and it's like everyday is a feast out there. It might be the place full of happiness and festivity.
Husband: hmmm, bb next time you send me the verse that we need to share on saturday the day                   before Sunday our bible sharing day. So that, I can also reflect. Because bible really                       needs reflection.
Me: (Self talk -wow this is a good response)Ok, don't worry I will. Then I continued. "God then            send his servants to invite people for the wedding feast"- meaning God invited us to have some         time with him but we were to busy doing our own things, not knowing that God had prepared         abundance for us. Example sunday- we need to spend time with him because he is expecting           us to come and he is preparing for us as his visitor but he was dismayed because we did not           listen to him.
Husband: bb, I can't understand why did He say that; in Verse 4: “Then he sent some more                         servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My               oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to                            the wedding banquet.’ So therefore: There were already people invited to go to heaven? Me: Hmmm, thinking deeply, Yes maybe - These are maybe those chosen people like the priest,            pastors and other people that He chose to spread his word.
Husband: Yes, maybe those are also the descendants of Abraham.
Me: Yes maybe ( Then we continued) Verse 8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The weeding                    banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come.9 So go to the street corners             and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ 10 So the  servants went out into the streets and            gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall            was filled with guests. 11 “But when the king came in to see  the guests, he noticed a man              there who was not wearing wedding clothes.12 He asked, ‘How did you get in here without            wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.

These verses Struck me: I imagine  it as the coming of the Lord or during our death, and because we have not listen to his call  for change, for repentance and for knowing him. We might go to the heaven with out the wedding attire- meaning we are not ready to face the Lord and go to heaven because of our sinfulness and have not accepted the Lord in our lives.

Then the last verse says: 13 “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ 14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.” ----These verses were bloodcurdling and very alarming for me. As I imagine it- because we are not ready to face him we could be one of those people that will be sent to hell where there are gnashing of teeth and weeping. It is all because we did not listen to his call.

Husband: bb, we will do this session every sunday ok, then send me the verse ahead of time. Realizing it, we were happy to at least understand what were the verse all about and somehow we both want to try our very best to devote some of our time to the Lord even if we are skype away. After the bible sharing we then prayed together then He continued watching Pacquiao and Rios matched that he paused. To atleast give some time with the Lord is an accomplishment for me and the Joy that it brings is indescribable.

Long distance bible sharing with my Husband!

Bible Sharing! Matthew 22:1-14!

I have found myself very busy not just taking care of my son but also exploring the innovation of technology: scrolling jobs, working online, scrolling nothing, surfing in the internet and everything. Then, I remember my nanay (mother) told me that you need to devote your time to God and your family every sunday- even only every sunday. I didn't mind her advice at that time. Just then I realized that nanay was right. As a mother and a wife of an overseas husband- I need to have a strong foundation of my faith and an intimate relationship with the Lord. I was wondering then, "before, I really find time to have a silent moment and listen to praise and worship songs", it was my way of talking to the Lord, but with the innovation of technology I have just realized that I allowed it to snatch my time with the Lord. I also remember what Father Ben - The celebrant priest during our wedding- he said, " You as a wife, needs to persistently pray especially your husband is working in the country where your religion is hard to find nor churches could be easily found because with these situation evils can easily be found and are very happy to find some space to ruin a family". I thought of these pieces of advice as a serious matter now it is because I will be raising a child in a world where values are significantly edgy. Then, I realized with all the calamities, war and everything bad that are happening in the world right now is a calling that "I or we should give some of our time to Lord."

As my first step of knowing the Lord, I  have question in mind. Why do I need to have some time with the Lord? Google it- there I found this verse Matthew 22: 1- 14 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+22%3A1-14&version=NIV. Then my husband called me up through skype.

Me: Hi bb. How are you?
Husband: I am fine, I am watching the re-play of Pacquiao's fight against Rios.
Me: I have a plan for tonight, we are going to have a bible sharing.
Husband: What's that? I don't know how to do that.
Me: Hmmm..bb.. the Lord said we need to have some time with him.
We are just going to share what we understand about the verse and our personal experiences that will correlate to the verse.
Husband: Ok.
Me: (hay salamat) ( Thank you he is now showing his interest -self talk.)

I really do not understand this verse before but I think of it all over again this is how me and my husband understand  these verse -Our bible sharing.

Nivea Review.

Nivea Review! I have been using Nivea for almost 5 years. I have a tan skin reflection which makes me so cousious of selecting the right lotion for my skin. Aside from that I also do play tennis under the heat of the sun. Since I founf Nivea my skin becomes healthier and it looks younger.Honestly, when I was young, my skin was really dark and dull, I started to have some care on my skin when I was already working because I can already afford to buy things that makes my skin beuatiful. When I descovered Nivea, I never had any tried any lotion brand at all. It's just really great and moistures your skin yet it will not darken your skin. I have tried before using moiturizer before with other brand it dit make my skin darker specially when I am exposed to sunlight. But with Nivea I used it inside and more comfortable using it when I am in the heat of the sun. I just love Nivea.

Can the donations from other countries' for the Victims of Yolanda make a better Philippines?

Donations for the Phiilippines – Victims of Yolanda, Typhoon Haiyan When I first visited Thailand, I was amazed with their airports and trains. Indeed the economy is far better than the Philippines. I was wondering how did they beat the Philippine economy, henceforth the Philippine economy were better than Thailand.

A Thai friend of ours said, " When the deadly tsunami hit Thailand (tsunami last 2004, specifically  in Phuket) there were many donations came in from other countries. Those donations were not only able to help those tsunami victims but were used to build infrastructures. That was the beginning how Thailand built its economy. " A surprising answer indeed!!! That the donations from other country can make the other country's economy better! I was asking myself the Philippines were struck by many typhoons and calamities but those affected areas were still having hardships most especially those affected people, yet we all know that there were many donations for the victims. Simply because there are many PIGS not just in the Higher government but upto smaller units of our government but hopefully these pigs are now piglets.

Today with the typhoon Yolanda, many donations came, in-fact trillions of money were donated. We hope that these will make a better Takloban, a better Leyte and a better Philippines. As a simple citizen of the Philippines we are hoping that this donation would really reach to those in need and for the development of quality roads and infrastructure that was destroyed by the super typhoon ever hit the Philippines. To the officials of the government it is your time and this must be the time for you to show your service for the sake of the Filipino people by simply giving off what is worth for the victims. For the Filipino citizens let us all watch out for the output of all these donations.

A Nation that Prays Together and Helped One Another can Beat the Worlds Ever Strongest Typhoon Haiyan.

In the middle of the night heavy rain fall wakes me up. My area is not listed as one of the coverage of the strong and wide range of the typhoon Yolanda or internationally named as typhoon Haiyan. I woke up and prayed not only for me and my family's safety but for the Filipino people significantly those  affected areas. After 30 minutes or an hour the rain had stopped. I wake up early morning and surf the news update about the typhoon. I see how strong the typhoon Haiyan is and has been even compared as stronger than the combination of  Hurricane Sandy and Katrina. I just couldn't imagine how those people in the affected areas were able to sustain the said Typhoon and there is no greater casualty cost by its smash. But I believe the death numbers are very much lesser than the previous weaker typhoon that had smashed the Philippines though many structures are destroyed and trees uprooted but nevertheless life casualties are not that much.

The Filipinos have prepared counter measures of the typhoon making the most of the limited disaster hi tech gadgets that we only have. The government is doing their best and the Filipinos in one way or another where cooperating. Above all I believe - many Filipinos are  "Praying" for the safety of not just their own family and relatives but the whole Philippine Nation. And indeed
when I look at the sky what beautiful sunrise showed up hoping that Haiyan bid goodbye to the Philippines. Realizing that " A Nation that Prays Together and Helped One Another can Beat the Worlds Ever Strongest Typhoon. As what Pnoy said " no strong typhoon can beat the Filipino as long as we cooperate and help one another " and indeed it is proven during the landfall of typhoon Haiyan.

Other people might not able to feel nor understand how Filipinos faith makes them withstand the typhoon. But certainly Filipinos believe that faith can trample the typhoon Haiyan because it is all what we have. In all our endeavors and faith has helped us personally and our nation taking into the consideration of the "People Power" during the time of the dictatorship of Marcos. They may not understand how Filipinos value faith and prayer in any difficulties but Filipinos have already proven and felt the wonders of faith by surviving with a limited income and withstand difficulties with very minimal number depressed citizens. So, then Go!! Filipinos!!! Stand by your faith because "God is with us".

Is cash code a scam?

I am still trying to figure out if this is really working. But certainly this is not for free. I am now shaking because I have paid the 60 days money back guarantee using a credit card using clicksure but my fears seems swallowing me when I read this http://www.scambook.com/report/view/124480/ClickSure-Complaint-124480-for-$0.00. I just hope clicksure is a legitimate site. I am still trying to wait for the response of the customer service from Cash Code support, airing my fears about their system who assisted me when I went to their process. I was afraid because after the $47 they are again asking about $200 or so for the website and any other devices whom I thought everything was for free after the $47 payment. It gets me confused because I only have $47 to spend for their system nothing else. So then, I need to wait for Monday for the web more tutorials. I'll tell you what happen if anyone from their so called company will soothe my fears. Can anyone testify that this is really working? Using the clicksure for payment method is just all fine? Is cash code really true?

The above thoughts where my first day reaction when I first got in to tube cash code, but when I really tried to understand it all, reading the kit that I bought online though I have not made a site yet. I then gain positive thoughts about it. The only thing that I cannot move on to all the process yet, is I am saving for my site expenses. Since I still have less than 60 days of trying the kit. I am crossing my fingers that before the due date of my subscription I will have the chance to go through even by just making a private site and hoping that they'll be able to help me out with the resources that I can only afford for now. See you then in my next experience once I opened up my own private site.

Babies could comprehend even if they couldn't respond.

I am a full time mom but working a home based kind of job. I usually woke up early morning to do my work.It has been normal for me to talk to my baby as if he understood. Having an early morning working schedule has been an advantage for me because my baby was still sleeping by these times. So, even if my husband was not around and could not look after my baby while I was working. At least I could leave my baby to my sister, by just simply helping him direct his bottle of milk into his mouth.

Everytime I do have work  early in the morning, I used to talk to him the night before my work while I am breastfeeding My words were like these " Baby, mom is going to wake up tomorrow early in the morning because I need to work, I want you to be good ok? I am just here in the house -right there in the other room, nay nay loves you so much" I used to repeat these words until he falls asleep. Surprisingly after my work I checked him inside the room, and there he is holding his fist together , raising his legs and playing by himself, I called him smiling " Hello!! Good morning baby!! wow! Good boy!" then he was smiling staring at me and spread his arms like he wanted me to carry him.

I was amazed that babies really could understand even if they can't respond.

Body language can make us powerful!

The two pieces of photos below were from the YouTube where I took a snap shot from the talk titled "Body language shapes who you are" by Amy Cuddy who was once a speaker on Ted Talk. Her talks about body language were interesting and featured the truth of how we acted on certain things and without even having said a word, it already showed how did we feel. The climax of the talk was when Amy pointed out the significance of  acting that we were confident or powerful even, if  we were not and she said that as we tried  showing something we need to find ways until we become on what we acted upon.  The talk gave courage to our goals and dreams that might have been bogged down because we felt that we were not that powerful to make it happen and the thing was we just have to  "fake it until we make it, or we fake it until we become it" as what Amy said. Here is the link about her talk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks-_Mh1QhMc .

Recipe for my 6 months old baby.

I've noticed that my baby enjoyed eating his dinner that I prepared lately. I called it mashed mango with the ground organic rice. I made porridge from the ground organic rice then set it aside. In a separate mini plate I mashed the ripe mango. Since, I had fried fish for my dinner. I took a bit from it and carefully mashed it and made sure that it did have any fish bones. Then, all together I mixed the mashed fish and the mango together with the porridge. My baby had eaten much which surprised me. I also tasted it, it really tastes good because the mangoes were sweet.

When did my baby start eating solid food?

My baby's Pediatrician said that my baby should start eating solid food when he turned 6 months old. He was supposed to eat solid food on the 3rd to 5th month but because he has allergies. He needs to only drink milk until 6 months, no vitamins, no other food only milk!

Last week he had just turned 6 months old and I was very excited to prepare the food that he needed to eat and because he has allergies, I have been very careful on choosing the food that he could only eat. Since, his doctor said that his allergies hopefully should minimized when he turns one year old. So, by then the allergies might still come out. One very important tool in feeding that I remember was to use a small soft spoon, since he didn't have teeth yet and his gums were still very sensitive.

What was the food that I prepared?
I didn't buy instant cereals because they are sweet and it will introduce sweets on my baby's taste glands and may make him to be choosy about the food that he is going to eat. I think of introducing food that has a natural taste without even adding sugar or salt on it. So, what I did, I bought an organic rice in the department store and have it grounded somewhere in the market. I made porridge from the grounded organic rice. I also boiled carrots, mashed it then mix it together with the porridge without adding salt or sugar. Since, it has been my baby's first feeding moment, with the first spoon of the food, he seemed not like it but he was also very excited to eat, then he opened his mouth and ate the food. I prepare my baby's food out of a natural fruits, vegetables and organic rice. Please see below some of the recipes I do for my little one.

Organic Rice with banana.
I used the scoop of  my baby milk in measuring the amount of organic rice for the porridge. On his first week I only put 1 scoop of organic rice and half glass of water for the three meals. Then I mashed the banana just enough for one meal and put the remaining in a container then put it inside the refrigerator. I get an amount of the porridge just enough for one meal and mixed it together with the mashed banana. Then my baby really liked it.

A mother's love

A relative of our friend whose premature baby is in a coma. They are not a close friend of mine but it seems that my heart crumpled and I feel like a mother to the baby. I found out that, it seems I have empathized the feeling of the mother watching her  child sick and helpless and can't even touch or hug him. How painful could it be! I then started bringing back the memories of my brother who passed away because of gun shot and tried to figure out, how was my mothers feeling at that moment? I realized it was really different from what we felt. As I imagined it and somehow have emphasized the pain, huh...it was really hard and only when we become a parent or mother we'll realize that it's not easy as what we think it was. A mother's love is incomparable and very difficult to dig in. Only when we become mother we'll understand that why of so many failures or sins we have done against them they can still love us? That is because a mother's love is immeasurable. In connection with all these realizations, I remember a phrase in a bible, I just can't remember the verse and the exact word but it says something like " when we listen to our mother, the Lord will bless us and we will have an abundant life and if we obey our father the Lord will forgive some of our sins because they were given high authority by the Lord". I'm just trying to figure out, maybe when we become parents-God will bless us with a superpower to love and to endure pain thus to be able to bring up a good child.

A first time mother's prayer

Dear Lord,

I am writing you today, because I need more patience to become a good mother to my son.
Please bless my hands that will give comfort every time he cries, a cuddle that will make him
sleep so tight,a voice that gives him joy. Please give me strength that when he is not feeling well, I can still compose myself. Please give me courage that when I feel tired, I can still smile.
Please give me compassion that when I feel like giving up, I can still lift my spirit and can still take care of him with love and joy.  Amen...

How did I open a savings bank account for my 4 month old baby

As a first time mom, I discovered that having a baby is really expensive, we have so much expenses to think of , his diapers, his food, his milk, his clothes, his toys, his health, his bath soap and others, we could not just take for granted on buying those things that they need because it is our obligation to take care and see to it that their needs are well provided and nonetheless because simply as a parent we truly love them and want the best for them. Our obligation is a continuous process  and we think of their future most specially sending them to school and all these things involved money. That is why, me and my husband thought of opening a savings account for our baby, to secure his future most especially his education. Moreover, in times of needs it would not be a pressure for us to lend a money because we have already saved money for our baby's expenses. Thanks to BDO with just 500 PHP I have opened a savings bank account for my four month old baby. It was called Juniors Savings Account (Passbook) since my baby is still zero years old. I only paid 500 PHP for the maintaining balance. It was a quick an hour process and I have a savings bank account for my baby. Now. I can start saving for my baby with 500 PHP  or more per month is good enough.

What are the requirements for opening a bank account for a baby with the BDO

2. 2  PCs 1x1 photo of  baby

Importance of Customer Service

I was in the bank this morning because I wanted to open a bank account for my baby and mine too. I was next to the woman who was also filling in the application form. Only the two of us were their customers at that time. The customer service en-charge was very busy doing her own stuff, while waiting for that woman to finish filling in her application form. I approached the en charge
Me: I will open a bank account, how can I do it? "
En charge: Stating all the requirements.
Me: OK, I have them all with me.
En-charge: ma'am' she is still filling in the form ( referring to the other customers) let us just wait for her to finish.
Me: so I waited-but It was almost 20 minutes of waiting and they were not yet done.
I approached the en-charge "miss can I fill in the form? ( I was thinking that I can fill in the form in the other table, while waiting for the first customers )
En-charge: hmm ma'am' the first customers is still filling in the form
Me: I am running out of time, I still have things to attend to and I left with my disappointment .
The thing was that the customer service in-charge, didn't think of another way to make me  feel important or even just value my time of  choosing their bank. I believe that this person should know how to make things done quickly even if they have lots of customers. To my disappointment I can tell my friends not to choose that bank  for entrusting their money and me not to go back into that bank anymore.

After being very disappointed I went to  BDO, I was very amazed how they value their customers. The ambiance inside the bank was very friendly and their setting was spacious, which was very relaxing  Very nice office arrangement and excellent customer service, in 20 minutes I have my baby's  Junior Savings Account  opened.

How did I know that I have enough breast milk?

I am a full time mom with my first baby. I wanted to feed him with full breast milk because it was said to be the best milk that a baby could ever have and no formula milk could equate. When I tried to feed my baby, I found out that he was oftentimes irritable. He used to sway my nipple then cried loudly. He slept for 30 min and was crying when he woke up and he spent much time in crying. When we have a monthly check up with my babies' Pediatrician I opened up my problem and she said "your baby might not be satisfied with your milk supply". He checked my babies' weight  and it was 29 kg that was a decrease of  2 kg from his birth. The doctor said "your baby should at least increased his weight 20 grams a day in a week". She advised me to do the following:

What to do if you do not have enough breast milk?
1. Have enough rest.
2. Drink soups at least once during a meal.

3. You can also take food supplement as Natalac or Fenugreek or teas. You can find many nursing supplements at Healthy Options Store located at Abreeza Mall Davao.
After a week we went back to the doctor and indeed he gained 2 kg.

After a month my baby was growing and his milk demand was increasing. If I didn't take, soups or nursing tea or took twice or thrice of the Fenugreek tablet I found him irritable. We went back to the doctor and his weight decreased. The doctor said " you might have a small breast that only stored small amount of milk and were not able to supply the milk demand of your baby, then I advised  you needed to do the mixed feeding.
I stopped drinking the tea because I have hyper acidity. I continued taking 1 tablet of Fenugreek a day and it helped to full my breast with milk. I also drink soups with potatoes and have taken a body massage for breast milk improvement and I am keen of  my diet for my baby to utmost enjoy benefits of breast milk .Even if I do mixed feeding I make sure that he was drinking much breast milk than formula milk.

Craving for food during pregnancy, is it true?

Just when I got pregnant when I realized that it's true!!!Pregnant women really craved for food. When I was second month pregnant, I wanted to eat Balamban Liempo ( grilled pork) and since my husband was not with me, I ask my sisters to go with me and bought the grilled pork, but no body would want to go with me. My tears started to fall and I couldn't control my self from crying. I decided to forget my craving. On the day after, I really couldn't hold my mind from thinking eating the grilled pork, so then I decided to go out by myself to buy it. When I arrived home I ate it but it seemed it didn't taste good anymore, hehehe I am not yet done with my funny experience for craving food.On my 6th month of pregnancy, I really wanted to eat buko (coconut salad) but I couldn't find any from nearby our house. I asked my sister again to buy for me but she didn't make an effort to, so I tried to forget my craving. But still days have passed and I couldn't hold my thoughts from thinking about the coconut. One evening I went to the sofa and cried because I was thinking that if my husband was here I could have eaten the coconut salad. On the next day, my sister went home from work and have a Tupperware of coconut salad and I was very happy. at last my craving was over.
