Wedding Requirements for a Catholic Church Wedding In The Philippines

Me and my boyfriend is planning to get married. I do not know what to first and what are the things needed to have our wedding in the Catholic Church.

The Steps that we went through to complete our wedding requirements.

Step 1.     I went to the Catholic Church
I went to the  nearest Catholic Church to ask for a wedding requirement. I was very surprise
when a woman handed me a long sheet of bond paper written the wedding requirements from left to the right side of the sheet. I felt worried thinking how are we going to complete all the requirements.
I counted the months 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,6 ok  we still have 3-5 months to prepare. Me and my boyfriend then
divided our time and labor to complete the requirements even in the midst of our busy jobs.

Some requirements in the church vary depending on it's location. Since we are planning to get married in out hometown. We make sure to complete the common and a must requirement for a wedding.
So we proceed with step two.

Step 2.   Certificate of Non Marriage  (Cenomar)
My boyfriend applied online the Cenomar for the both of us.  NSO certificate is needed for the application and of course payment.
You can go to this site for application .https://www.ecensus.com.ph/Secure/frmIndex.asp
We got our Cenomar after 10 working days.

Step 3.  Baptismal and Confirmation Certificate
While we were waiting for the Cenomar my boyfriend had applied for Confirmation Ceremony in the nearest  Cebu Church.  Confirmation can be acquire in any Church locally as long as you have a baptismal Certificate. After the confirmation Ceremony, my boyfriend got his confirmation certificate with  " For Marriage Purpose and the date issued" This is very important.

I also ask my parents to get my baptismal Certificate and Confirmation Certificate written
" For Marriage Purpose  and the date issued"

 Step 4.  Certificate of Marriage
Before getting the certificate of Marriage  in Civil Registrar we have gone through Seminar
With the Phil Health. We paid 100 pesos for the seminar and the certificate will be used for the application of Certificate of Marriage. Since Certificate of Marriage will expire in  three months.
We will file the certificate of Marriage in September.

Step 5. Pre-Cana Seminar
I went to a nearest church and ask if we can have a pre-cana seminar in Cebu even if we will be having our wedding in our Home Town. I was happy because it is possible. We are planning to have the Pre Cana Seminar by 2-3 months before our target wedding date.

Processing the documents out of the location were the wedding will happen is possible. Just make sure to complete all the documents needed to make wedding possible.
