Where to Stay in Bangkok and shop at their big and cheap markets.

I was so excited to visit my husband in Thailand. Aside from having precious time with him, I was also  excited to shop cheap clothes. My husband was not yet familiar on how or what to ride going to the popular markets in Bangkok. The morning before I arrived, he and Thoto have a quick tour on how and where to ride a train going to those marketsIt was almost 9pm when I arrived and my husband together with his Filipino childhood friend named Thoto was there waiting for me at the Airport. I was asking  him  "Why he didn't kiss me when he saw me? he replied, " people here are bit conservative.." then I said " ah..ok.. I understand ".

Thoto had a little knowledge of the Thai language-was talking with the driver to drop us at Victory Hotel in Phaya Thai were my husband booked online.

Pratunam Market

My first morning with the free fine dining breakfast at the hotel was great. Me and my husband was very excited to explore. Indeed it was fun, because the Victory hotel in Phaya Thai was just  walking distance to the Train or BTS. The first market that we visited  was Chatuchak market. This market will only be open during weekdays. It was one of the biggest market where we could reach easily from the hotel.  We rode in BTS and stopped at Muchet. Across the overpass was the Chatuchak weekend market. The market was very wide,  you could buy many products like women's , men or babies clothing, toys souvenirs, bags, shoes and many others. We were not able to roam around the whole market the whole day because it was really huge. Just very near to the market there was a park where we could have some picnic while taking a break from buying. We went back to the hotel and find some restaurant for a dinner, just very near to the hotel there were night markets and roadside restaurants where we had our dinner. We slept tired and was gaining more energy for the second day. The second day was tiresome but challenging from the BTS we stop to Siam presuming that it was near to Pratunam market, from Siam we have walked very far going to Pratunam. To our advantage my husband has a minute knowledge of asking in Thai language "if we were on the correct way going to Pratunam". When  we reached at the intersection going to Pratunam my husband was laughing he said “looked a BTS station, “oh my God, should we have known that there was BTS here, we could not have walked as far as we have been walking" and he added "we should have just ridden the BTS from Phaya Thai and stopped here at Ratchatewe then  we could walked at the intersection straight to that is the Pratunam market,it should have been very near !". Then we just laughed at least we already knew how to go to Pratunam with just few walks and we continued walking. We were a few meters away from Pratunam when we stopped at the Cheap Electronic Market  they called ” Pantip Plaza” and bought our 16Megabytes Sonny camera for about 5000bhat at a discounted price with tax refund at the airport. Finally I started taking pictures until we found the Pratunam Market , we first dropped at Platinum Fashion Mall, oh! no..I was overwhelmed with the women's clothing. The quality was good at a lower price. The price will be lowered if you buy two pieces or more .Across to it was the Wholesale
Store, we bought cheap garments from here. Get ready you will be overwhelmed with low price and good quality ladies wear. On the third day we went to Sampaeng  we have rode  BTS  in Phaya Thai stopped at Siam then interchanged rode with  BTS going to  Sampantaksen. This day we have ridden a bus number 1 and asked the driver to drop us at  Sampaeng when we arrived the oh, no..The market was also huge where we could buy jewelries, stuff toys and others. No wonder why I was lost here, hahaha.. It’s fun to shop in Thailand if you have little budget.
