How To Cook ?

When I got married last December 2011, my mother and sisters kept on telling me that " I should know how to cook" it is for my husband and for our kids. When my husband was hired to work in Thailand I went home to my mother's house. I did  most of the household chores. I also started cooking food for our meals. My mother and sisters gave me some cooking techniques.

These three techniques were very helpful and I remember them each time I cook.
1. Those leafy vegetables, they must be mixed after the meat had  already been cooked and turn off the  burner  a minute after mixing them.
2. Do not cover the pan after mixing vegetables because it will overcook the vegetables.
3. For the meat you need to cover the pan for them to be cooked well.


Amazingly when I visited my husband here in Thailand. We bought vegetables and  I tried cooking a dish out of the squid.  The first dish I cooked was  Cabbage and Squid and it tastes good.

   Squid and Cabbage
Ingredients:
Onion
Garlic
Tomato
Cabbage
Cooking Oil
Squid

1. Saute the garlic, onion and tomato with the cooking oil.
2. Mixed the sliced squid with soy sauce and lemon.
3. When the squid is already cooked mix the sliced cabbage then after a minute turn off the burner.

The Second dish I cooked for my husband.

Ingredients:
Onion
Garlic
Tomato
Cooking Oil
Squid
Potato
Carrots
Cauliflower

1. Saute the garlic, onion and tomato with the cooking oil.
2. Mixed the sliced squid with soy sauce and lemon.
3. When the squid is already cooked mix the sliced Carrots, potatoes and cauliflower then after a minute turn off the burner.


I realized that when I cooked with love and joy I could make delicious food.
